The concept of the solution involves dividing the area into an urban section, a semi-urban section and, finally, a section that is largely without buildings. The site of the demolished football stadium will become a space for a public running track and other sports facilities. In the area under consideration, we aim to encourage a gradual reduction in building density; in the section facing the intersection, we propose a new block and the addition of sports facilities on top of the existing retail building. Following partial refurbishment, we believe it would be possible to accommodate sports facilities that could also be used by the school proposed as part of this block, via a footbridge connection on the upper floors.
The landscaping design focuses on maximising green spaces in the rear section and on adapting to the existing topography of the site.
